Mr. Harbaugh is a member of the firm's estate planning and business practice groups. He has been in private law practice since 1985, concentrating his practice in all aspects of estate planning, in the administration of trusts, probate estates, and guardianships, in estate and trust litigation, and in a wide range of business and not-for-profit corporation matters. He also has extensive experience in retirement distribution planning, taxation, and the role of charitable giving in financial and estate planning.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Harbaugh was a member of the tax department of the national accounting firm, Arthur Young & Company, for nine years, where he served a variety of publicly-held companies and private business. He also served as a planned giving consultant at Northwestern University for three years, where he conferred with the University's donors in structuring major gifts to that institution.
