Derrick Thompson in Inaugural Class of ISBA Diversity Leadership Institute

Derrick Thompson was recently appointed one of 10 Fellows in the Inaugural Class of the Illinois State Bar Association's Diversity Leadership Institute.  Partner Deborah Cole nominated Mr. Thompson, who is an associate at the firm. 

Derrick and the other Fellows were chosen by the President of the Illinois State Bar Association from a list of nominees from all over the state of Illinois.  As a Fellow in the 3-year program, Derrick will serve on one of the ISBA's standing committees for the next bar year, he will be assigned a mentor to introduce him to all facets of ISBA Leadership, and he will participate in leadership training and activities.  The Diversity Leadership Institute is part of the ISBA's ongoing efforts to promote diversity in the profession and, in particular, the leadership ranks of the ISBA.  

 Mr. Thompson is a civil litigator who has completed 17 trials.
